It’s Friday. Time for your weekly fix of new music to power you through that final day of work/classes. Let’s get right into it:

Bobby Tarantino x Logic

I do have to say, I’m a huge fan of the no-frills no-hype midnight album release. However, I do feel like the two incredible singles released in quick succession last week should’ve tipped me off that something big was coming from Logic’s camp. The young stunna has seriously hit his stride with this one. The project is full of hard-hitting powerful production. Although not poised to be as much of a lyrical powerhouse or cinematic experience as Logic’s previous projects were, this one does one thing differently: IT’S GOT STRAIGHT UP FLEX MUSIC. This has the summer anthems for whether you’re in the car with your friends and trying to get rowdy or need to celebrate your awesomeness.

Artist on the Rise: Raleigh Ritchie

Alright, so that Game of Thrones season finale was the most gratifying one yet. Which is extremely problematic, as its left an even bigger crater-sized hole in my life than the previous finales ever did. But before you go and resign yourself to watching old re-runs, there is some music that might be able to hold you over. Raleigh Ritchie, better known for his character Greyworm on HBO’s epic, is an electronic/R&B fusion artist. The soultronic vibes are strong with this one, and make for great listening.

Artist on the Rise: Jacob Banks

Ever wonder what would it would sound like if James Vincent McMorrow and Kaleo made music together? Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore. Jacob Banks accomplishes that all on his own.

Playlist of the Week: Infectious Indie

New week, new playlist for you guys! A blend of my favorite alternative/indie rock anthems. This one is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and get you up and dancing!
